Their Majesties, King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u attended the ANZAC Day dawn service at the seafront cenotaph on Monday 25 April 2016, in Nuku’alofa

The service was also attended by the Hon Prime Minister, Samuela ‘Akilisi Pohiva and members of the Diplomatic Corps with and attended by guests and Tongans.

ANZAC Day, which is a public holiday in Tonga, commemorates servicemen and women from Australia, New Zealand and Tonga who fought and died 101 years ago in Gallipoli during the First World War.
