“Pacific Aria Cruise Ship Welcomed to Tonga!”

The Kingdom of Tonga continues to welcome the arrival of cruise ships into Vuna Wharf.

The Pacific Aria with 1,411 visitors, were greeted in Nuku’alofa on Wednesday 9 March, 2016 with smiles and local music and dance as they disembarked their giant cruise ship and took a step into the last remaining Kingdom of the South Pacific.  This is the Pacific Aria’s first visit to Tonga.

The Pacific Aria is the sixth out of 18 cruise ships expected to arrive Tonga in 2016. Each cruise ship anchors easily into the new harbour, bringing about ease of entry and exit from Nuku’alofa. With the potential for a booming tourism industry, Tonga eagerly anticipates every visit from sea.

The Pacific Aria arrived in Nuku’alofa from Noumea, New Caledonia and will continue on to Vava’u one of the main islands of Tonga.
