On Tuesday 18th October 2016, Her Royal Highness Princess Angelika Lātūfuipeka Tuku’aho, High Commissioner of Tonga to Australia, signed the Book of Condolences at the Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra pursuant to the passing away of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of the
Kingdom of Thailand. The Ambassador of Thailand to Australia, His Excellency Mr. Chirachai Punkrasin, received and greeted Her Royal Highness and expressed sincerest gratitude for the royal tribute.

The Princess also conveyed condolence messages from His Majesty King Tupou VI and Her Majesty Queen Nanasipau’u of Tonga to His Majesty King Vajiralongkorn and Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand; on behalf of the people of the Kingdom of Tonga.

The late King passed away on 13th October 2016 at the age of 89 in the 70th year of His Reign.
