“World Rugby Officials visits Tonga”

The Hon. Prime Minister, Samuela ‘Akilisi Pohiva welcomed an official delegation from the World Rugby Union at the Prime Minister’s Office on Wednesday the 6th of April, 2016.

The delegation comprised of World Rugby Committee Chairman, Mr John Jeffery; Head of Development and International Relations, Mr  David Carrigy; the General Manger of the World Rugby’s Asia-Pacific region,  Mr William Glenwright; High Performance Manager for World Rugby,  Mr. Peter Horne and the World Rugby’s Service Manager, Mr. Bruce Corker.

The World Rugby Union delegation was in Tonga to discuss with the Government future partnership and working relationship to improve rugby in Tonga.

An official reception was held for the delegation at Liku’alofa Beach Resort.
